  • Asus Eee Keyboard: keyboard, computer and laptop all in one

Keyboard , computer and laptop in a single device. Asus launched the Eee Keyboard, a revolutionary wireless keyboard with a tactile screen built which hides a complete computer under its keyboard that can be used with any HD television, monitor or projector.

This device connects to these screens through a gíreles conexión called Ultra-Wideband: a receiver is plugged to the HDMI port (enabled in practically every High definition TV) and the Eee Keyboard emits the signal through an antenna. In that way we can convert the living room television or our small bedroom one into a computer.Furthermore it can be connected to the oldest computer screens thanks to a VGA wire.

Its tactile five inches screen has severeal functions: can be used as a trackpad, to move the cursor with a single finger on the TV screen, as widgets launcher (touching an icon the Internet browser will be watched on the TV Screen for example) or as a small computer´s classic screen as it uses the Windows operative system. Thanks to this latest function, The Eee Keyboard can be also used outdoors as a Laptop.

In case its users are not too skilled with the computing may make the most through its widgets. So far, the list of these applications is not official, but will be similar to the iPhone mobile phone (with You Tube, internet browser etc ...) If, on the contrary, the user has more knowledge, can be used just as using a computer with installed Windows.

So far there is nothing similar in the market, it´s only comparable (due to its external appearance) with the eighties computers useful as those rudimentary videogame console, like Spectrum.

The Asus Eee Keyboard will be on sale during the month of June at a price of 599 €. I tell you what they have inside to help you and decide yourself: Atom N270 processor, 1GB RAM, 12GB of storage via an SSD, Windows XP Home, a multi-screens of 5 inches, WiFi, Ethernet, Bluetooth, HDMI and USB ports.
